Ibuki, to breath. An indispensable act of living for human beings. In Latin, the word “spirare”, meaning “to breath”, is the etymology of “inspiration”. Breathing, although it seems like a mundane, repetitive act, is in fact, a continuation of creation. At Ibuki, we will introduce a combination of Japanese traditional craft / materials and international contemporary design. Tradition is not the repetition of ancient techniques or designs. Tradition is about continuing innovation. Without being content only with one flash of inspiration, only the hands and eyes that have accumulated the knowhow in every breath can lead to the next creativity beyond tradition.
